Here is a story on using just one general purpose zoom lens for the majority, 97%, or your photography. I used one lens, 35mm on a Nikon F, for decades during my film days. Now it’s a 18mm-55mm Nikon kit lens. If you can’t get the photo you want with one of these standard zooms then buying a bigger, longer zoom will do nothing for the quality of your work. Learn More

April 10, 2014: Nikon Announces New Coolpix Android camera with WiFi.
My only comment is: What took them so long?
This is something I started back in May. I will do one a month but with a twist. I’ll continue to add tidbits to this one page for the entire month.
From Shutterbug Magazine: Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. announced the launch of the GALAXY NX, the first 3G/4G LTE Connected Compact System Camera (CSC). The GALAXY NX combines cutting edge optical performance with connectivity capabilities and a galaxy of applications based on the Android eco-system. The result is a new type of connected device that allows users to turn their experiences into a story that can be instantly shared with anyone they choose, from wherever they might be, in amazing color and outstanding detail. Read more about this camera here:http://www.shutterbug.com/content/galaxy-nx

There is an interesting new Web site. It’s called Photo Help Desk. It’s managed by one person and it just started so I can’t give any kind of review.
It’s up to you. Here is the link: www.photohelpdesk.com.

Here’s a post that talks about common mistakes when organizing your photos in LR (Lightroom.) Well according to the author of the post they’re mistakes but maybe for the rest of us they may not be. The one mistake he lists is organizing your photos by date. Boy did this one result in mucho comments. If you read the post then for sure read the comments.
Try this once a day for relief from tech overload.
And be sure to hold the mouse pointer over the comic for ever more relief.
